My Hometown

My hometown is Yatsushiro in Kumamoto. Yatsushiro is the second biggest cities in Kumamoto. It locates in south of Kumamoto.Yatsushiro is a prosperous agricultural region. It has many rice areas because Yatushiro is plain place and has clean water. Famous rice brand are Morinokumasann and Hinohikari in Yatsushiro. Yatsushiro environment is very good so many fruits and vegetables are also produced there. For example, orange, banpeiyu and zabon are produced by aunts and uncles. Banpeiyu and zabon look like big grapefruits. They are the most famous fruits in Yatsushiro. Tomatoes named hatibei tomatoes are also famous here. A long time ago, Yatsushiro castle was built by Matsui who worked under Kiyomasa Kato in 1469, but it does not leave now. Its castle is not as big as Kumamoto one. We can enjoy seeing many beautiful cherry blossoms there on March and April. Also we can view around Yatsushiro city there. Fireworks display in whole country is taken place every year in Yatsushiro dry riverbed on October. Many people live in Kyusyu come there. Fireworks are fried off with music. It is very popular and move people. There are many stands, so we can see many fireworks while we eat French flied, Takoyaki, Yakitori, Apple candies and crepes. It is the most famous event in Yatsushiro. Famous River runs in Yatsushiro. That river name is Kumagawa. Its river is provided one of three rapid rivers in Japan by country. We can enjoy running down from upper river to lower river with small ships. It is very thrilling leisure. Also we can catch and eat fish that is called ayu in restaurants near river. Yatsushiro has many interesting places, so you can enjoy coming Yatsushiro
